Gas price here in our town in the Philippines has just climbed to the equivalent of US$1.22 per liter ($4.62 per gallon) from as low as US$0.88 ($3.33 per gallon) two months ago My rich neighbor stopped using his gas guzzling Ford Expedition and bought a Carry van just like mine and is now using it as daily commuter.
in Toronto area............... $1.24 per ltr regular, $1.38 per ltr for super (required for my mini truck), lordy, lordy, "suppose to go up to $1.50 reg, super? who knows..... this summer's estimates.........yuck!!!!! guess who will be ending his big V8 Dakota lease early....:sly: Glenn
My last fill-up of diesel was $4.44 a gallon. Regular gas was $3.83/gallon. Milk was higher...I quit drinking milk.
quit drinking milk? I like that one......personally, I only drink to make other people more interesting.....no point getting mad over the high prices.... click here and gets put into perspective.... http://dingo.care2.com/cards/flash/5409/galaxy.swf the ending sez it all.....glenn
Lifetime high Unleaded jumped from $3.75 per gallon this morning to $3.95 this afternoon. This is an all time high in my lifetime.
Gas prices Gas in Newton(Iowa) yesterday was $3.55. Today, it was $3.49. At Wal Mart ( buying a debit card inside, then going to the exit at Murphy Oil,) it's $3.46. Note, in Altoona Iowa,* where my wife works 18 miles to the west, gas is generally $.10 to $.15 cheaper. This makes absolutely no sense what so ever to me!?!.:frustration: Tmikewww (tom) * Altoona Ia., is a suburb of Des Moines Iowa
On the military bases in Japan regular gasoline runs $3.52/Gal. Out in the local areas off base it runs about $6.00/Gal. sometimes slightly cheaper if you can catch the right one at the right time.
Yesterday...in Montreal.....$1.52 per litre....for you Yanks....that's $5.75 PER GALLON....exchange rate...almost even! ughhhh.......it's going to be a long summer! glenn
Great! :frustration:. I'm traveling up to Manitouwadge, Ontario in a couple of weeks in a full size Chevy pulling a boat to do some fishing. That should make for a nice expensive trip. I figure it will cost ~$600US round trip from TN. Thanks for the update. -Greg
i tanked up yesterday aat $4.09 on the west side of phoenix... not bad when you only need 8 gallons though. my dodge ram hasn't seet a full tank in months. my debit card quits at $75... and that's just about 3/4 tank.
i live out in tolleson, there are a couple truck stops on my way to I10 on 99th ave, they usually have pretty competetive prices. i drove my mini out to chandler yesterday to help one of our crew on an install. all the way out to alma school and germann, it was 100 miles round trip, they were crackin jokes about my truck when i got to the job, but i spent a lot less in gas than the guy in the full size dodge, the funny part is we both get paid $0.50 a mile. i think i made out better than he did . glad i tanked up in tolleson it was cheaper there.
Saskatchewan: regular - 5.14/gallon 1.359/liter diesel - 5.33/gallon 1.409/liter LPG - 3.67/gallon 0.969/liter
It's not as bad here in Ontario.....yet....just $1.32 per ltr...you might want to check out your route first, there was some big flooding around the Thunder Bay area and some roads were washed out just a few days ago. You could stay on the US side up to the top of Michigan and cross at the Soo. don't forget to take a snap shot of the giant Canadian goose in Wawa...make sure that you fill your tank before you cross the border eh? ....you can also claim your GST tax back from the Feds on all you spent up here when you get back home. Manitouwadge is about 9 hours drive north from here and Montreal is about 5 hour drive east of here...they always pay a little more for gas in Quebec. Good luck fishing.....try the mepps #3 black with yellow spots....pike can't get enough of them eh? glenn
Thanks for the info. Were taking the trek up through Mich. Gotta pick up some tagalongs up in Rogers City. I was wondering how much rain they've had up there b/c where we lauched the boat in the past its a little muddy. Hopefully we don't get stuck. Looking forward to about 22 hours drive from Nashville. Yippee! I'm going to check out the tax rebate, and pickup a couple of those lures. Regular here in Nashville is $4 a gallon. Thanks again, -Greg
i was through Wisconsin and UP of Michigan last month. It is cheaper for gas in wi then mi. seems as soon as you get close to the mi border gas jumps over the 4 dollar mark.
gas up here in Northern British Columbia Canada just climbed to $1.45 a liter and doesn't look like it will stop anytime soon
ya know....a recent study found that Canadians walk an average of 900 miles per year....we also drink about 22 gallons of beer per year.......therefore.....Canadians get about 41 miles per gallon....kinda make me proud to be a Canadian eh? glenn
Hey Glenn, How much time do Canadians spend,...uh,...you know....standing around....uh,....I mean 22 gallons....that's a lot of time spent holding..uh, you know....I almost said wasted time, but....you know...... Tmikewww (tom)
Time to resurrect this old one. $3.49 gal. Cheapest I've found it lately is $3.35. Two months ago I was paying $2.49...
