I added aluminum tread plate to the inside of my panels. My 77 Toyota, had single wall bedsides. I had several dings in both sides, within the install year from things in the bed hitting the sides.

So, when I got the Hijet, I spent about $80 to buy a sheet of thin aluminum tread plate, and pop riveted it to the bed sides, and tail gate.

I just saw a toyace at a meet its still mini just a bit bigger. No its not Kei compliant but still small, smaller than anything we get here. I think there should be a toyace section. @CVP33 stay and I hope you didn't pull all your links.

It actually does cause the knob is bigger and it doesn't twist on me. The old knob was never tight.

Sorry guys, I already pulled everything. I’ll keep posting as I make progress. Lots to do with this on and I have lots of ideas. I noticed that Just4fun’s post is gone…..maybe a moderator got involved or J4F sobered up?

    A few more mods:
    - Shovel
    - Fire Extinguisher
    - TRD wheels arrived (should have those installed next weekend)
    - Mild touch up on the raptor-liner
    - Added jack kit from my F-150 (I had a spare)
    - Tinted headlights (intend to do all the front lights but ran out of daylight)

    I like the red!

Also, if you're ever concerned about bandwidth and hosting just upload your images to Imgur and paste the links in your posts instead. I usually resize mine to 800 wide so they are a good size for the page.

Post Image and Upload them to the Forum. There are a bunch of threads which could be really useful, but the photos were linked externally, and the links are now dead. Which ruined teh effectiveness of the thread.

I used that same rack on my van. Great little rak for under 100 bucks. I had to drill new holes to clear the vans high top.

Yup $77 on Amazon and works perfectly. No drilling for me…..fits great. I used door edge molding on both sides of the compression fitting to help protect the paint. We’ll see if that worked over time.

    1) Found out my 265/65r17 was a fail. Switched to a 235/60r17. The extra 2 inches should do the trick, sadly won’t look as aggressive. Tire Buyer was great and took them back with $0 charge. New ones were only $300 (Laufenns - Hankook sub-brand from Indonesia)
    2) Added a bed gate ladder from Amazon. Not bad for $56.
    3) Added a spare tire carrier. Once I get my TRD replicas mounted I’ll drop the OEM spares from under the vehicle and use the new carrier.
    4) And just for good measure I loaded it up with 2,700 pounds of tile, 360 pounds of passengers and 100 pounds of pavers = 3,160 pounds total. Handled it with no issues.

I wanted a cup holder but I really, really did not want to drill holes or have something in the way all the time. I figured a weighted, moveable drink holder had to exist and I was right. After some half-awake decision making on my phone late one night I landed on the Beverage Bandit (a local, handmade beanbag cupholder) and ordered one in ruby red!

I then promptly forgot about it, it arrived while I was out of town and our house-sitter couldn't get it out of the small mailbox. Finally the mailman moved it to the package locker and it all came rushing back to me.

Tried it out today, it holds a medium fountain drink no problem! And when I have a passenger I can just put it on the floor between us!

Super nice ride!! I’m a little jealous of your paint job. Although my wife might be on board for a repaint If I get one of the new Ford Bronco colors, like Area51.

I made a camo seat cover for my Suzuki dump truck using an old uniform that never got worn much. It probably won't last long but it gave me some experience in DIY upholstery repair.

Not for long. I’m having adapters made to convert it. It can always switch back.
