I’ve looked at tractor, atv, motorcycle and old Toyota mufflers for the little blue bomber. I came a cross this company Ipunkz Exhaust System. I was wondering if anyone has every used them or heard of them? I have seen them on a couple for daihatsu, kei and mini trucks sites on Facebook. Here’s what they have for the Hijet S83P. Maybe someone has a link to another place or ideas for a exhaust system. Keep on mini’en

I’ve been thinking about installing a 1-1/4-inch exhaust front he mainifold back, with a SuperTrapp, muffler at the back. That way I can tune it as needed, and have low restriction.

The pricing on those pages if way more than I want to spend. they appear to me to be a lot of dollars for bling to impress the unknowledgeable. The engineers at the factory spend quite a bit of time developing a balanced exhaust system.

You would need to do a lot of internal modification to the entire engine before you can gain any more power or torque, from installing headers. In fact most mods people make to their exhaust systems, actually hurt their performance, unless they have done extensive changes to increase, compression, and increase air flow through the engine.

Most “performance” exhaust systems actually decrease the low end power and torque, because they are grossly oversized, and far exceed the capability of the valve train to move air through the engine. Thus they completely destroy the ram effect you get from a tuned exhaust.

Back pressure = torque. Last thing you want with these vehicles is less torque.

YES, that is why I would install the SuperTrapp muffler. By adding and subtracting plates you can increase and decrease the back pressure to tune the torque curve.

Bought this motorcycle muffler off of Amazon, just cut off the old muffler and slipped this on and welded it. Not pretty but functional.

I have a Q: will my old exhaust system from my 660cc engine work on my 1.3l hc engine? will it mount on to the exhaust manifold ? Maybe it might be too small?

Before taking your old one off! Do some measuring with a sewing or soft tape measure and see it will fit. Also your can call G&R imports and ask to talk to a mechanic and pick their brain. They are very helpful.

Too late. Took it off back in June.

I think the 1.3 is a 4-cylinder. I doubt the exhaust from the 3-cylinder, with half the displacement will be adequte.

I ordered exhaust header from him a couple months ago. Legit guy. Contact him on Facebook he may make a 4 cyl header for you.

I was working on my truck the other day and I looked at my old exhaust and fit it up to my new engine and it fit right up to the exhaust manifold. I admit the rest of the exhaust is definitely to restricting and I probably won't use it .
So does his headers add any performance, and what does he charge ,and what's his name,or business name?

I havent had the opportunity to put it on yet. It's just to damn cold here right now and my work has been a crazy shit show for a month. It cost 300 and change shipping and all. His name on Facebook is purnomo ipunkz. It did take almost 2 weeks from purchase to door but it comes in a cool wood crate with customs stamps and what not from Indonesia

I looked into his exhaust systems ,and you must have bought your setup a while back, because none of their stuff now is as cheap as what you paid . Try like more than doubled. Though it would be nice to have a good header instead of stock manifold . I see paying $750-$800 for it right now.
You have a 3 cylinder right?
So your clutch plate, how many springs does yours have?

So I talked to the guy who makes those headers, and he sold me one for $365,& that included shipping. It was originally with shipping $481, but he dropped it down quite a bit. I guess I couldn't pass it up. So you think it will give me more power from my stock engine?
I've been thinking that if you might still be interested in my engine for sale? I'll let it go for what you offered. But if not that's cool.

I think I paid 365 as well not sure tho. I also have a supertrapp exhaust on the way because I wasn't sure how I was going to figure out the back pressure. So thank you Jigs! And yes mrxsht I do want it still ill get ahold of you this evening!

I messaged this guy on whatsapp. He wants $386 shipped, I will probably try to haggle if I decide to order one. I have a Hijet and a Midget coming in soon.

Is that just for the header or is he including the muffler and resonator?

Header only at least for me. As Jigs stated an exhaust needs to be a tuned system.

I'm very interested in this topic. I would love to get two new gaskets (8) and (7), and a complete muffler/pipe bolt-on assembly (11). My cat (6) still looks really good (inasmuch as I can see through it pretty clearly).

I've tried locating parts online, but they seem to have every configuration other than the one below. And/or my particular truck doesn't seem covered. (1995 Hijet S110P EF-ES engine)

I prefer OEM. I'm not opposed to aftermarket...but I do want bolt-on with hanger rods already in place.

    Any one have any ideas?

@MacGyver , good suggestion, but no luck. They just deal with their local exhaust shop, per their parts guy. For me, that would be very inconvenient getting it to an exhaust shop. I'd rather part (11) show up in a box on my doorstep! I went to an exhaust shop locally with old parts in hand, asking if they could build a muffler assembly close to what I had. They didn't want to touch it.
