Why do I do this , sold my daihatsu hijet and picked up another Subaru Sambar Van ( of course on the same day)
    It’s a KV3 2wd and 5 speed “ ExtraS”
This guy is a little more “used” in shape . Paint has some clear coat issues , not rust tho . The divers seat belt rewind spring had slipped out so the belt wouldn’t retract anymore so I fixed that , the loose inside rear view mirror was the plastic screw that held it on had been broken . Someone in Japan just glued it to the headliner so when I went to tighten it the head just popped out of the hole . Replaced it with a regular metal screw ( if I hit it with my head in an accident I got other problems like the dash wrapped around me like I’m a burrito )
The outer rear sliding door handle was broken but I JB wield epoxyed it , lubed and adjusted the latches and locking mechanisms.
Has a few oil leaks cleaned them up , changed the oil but looks like valve cover, cam seal, poss crank seal .Not a big deal as it’s time for a timing belt so I’ll fix up the leaks and adjust the valves when I do the T belt and a full tune up . Seems to run very well, no rattles ,pulling or banging while driving . The A/C is like a icebox . Clutch feels good ( feels light while pressing but no slipping or adjustment issues)
Best part was it was owned by a non smoker  so no nicotine colored headliner :D
This one is going to be my bum around van . 986DE7C8-8988-41DB-9A81-EEBF6078E267.jpeg
That internet picture voodoo makes it look perfect

Thanks for doing this. It will make it easier to talk the girlfriend into letting me buy a 2nd. "There's a guy on the forum with THREE."

This is also the first JDM anything I was able to get the oil filter from Japan off without a strap wrench ,pump plyers or a screwdriver thru the side .
I’m pretty sure all the sumo wrestlers have regular day jobs at the oil change shops In Japan

Hi Todd, please join the FB group again, I declined your first request because at that time your profile was just created and it was completely blank and usually those are fake accounts. Later I saw your van picture and I put two and two together lol. We can sure use your expertise!
