I’m picking up a 1991 Sambar parts truck and plan on parting it out. If there is something you need, let me know. It is a complete truck. I will be out of town for a week but will touch base on here periodically. Pictures to follow when I get back.
I'm in need of a battery cover and the driver door interior pull handle (not the one that opens the door, but the one you grab to pull it shut. I think the passenger side is the same)
I will let you know what the truck has on it once I get it. I was hoping to pick it up today but we are being hit with a snow storm just before I head South.
@Ohkei Dohkei I believe I have an extra door pull handle. I think it is a little faded/worn, but it does work. Yes they are the same side to side. Do you know anything about the truck? 2WD or 4WD? 4MT/5MT/CVT? Carbureated or Supercharged?
If there is a drivers side upper most weather stripping in good shape I could use that. Manufacturers have discontinued it in Japan. pic attached for reference
I used the door seal from the TT series of trucks and it works great. It is about 1/2" shorter than the one I took out, but it still covers all of the bits that it needs to.
If you can't get one(door handle) I could scan and 3d print one for you, if orange ain't your thing sanding, priming and painting would be in order. I only have access to PLA which is not ideal but painted should be fine.
I got truck and will pick up this weekend. I will start to dismantle it and start parting out. Those that have inquired so far will hear back in the next couple weeks.
I need to hold onto that for a bit to move the truck around. Might be a month before I’m ready to take that off.
Looking for the stock shift knob and 4wd button assembly. If it's the one with the round front headlights, I'd be interested in the headlights and front panel too. Please let me know if you have it.
I have all that. What exactly do you mean front panel, the 2 headlight bezels? The front bumper cover has a cutout for a receiver and is cracked from a crash, it is no good.
What color is this thing? One of my doors has a giant dent, probably cheaper to buy a whole door than pay a professional to do the body work.
If you still need a battery cover there is one here. $32 US plus shipping and forwarding service fees. https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/b439152671
I have had several inquiries, but once I name a price, silence. If you need a part, might be good to suggest what you are willing to pay for it. Truck is starting to come apart.
If you use Google Chrome, it has a translate page button in the url bar on the right hand side. as for buying it and having it shipped, you'll need to use a forwarding service which is really straightforward and simple. whiterabbitexpress.com is the one I use, they essentially buy it for you and ship it to you, as most auction vendors wont ship overseas.
Just an FYI you can get the button from your local dealer for ~$40 ($55 is retail... I check to see if they have an online parts ordering system, usually that has a built in 15-20% discount. If not, just ask...) Button's most recent/current part number is: 33170GA171 I'm not certain yet BUT I believe the whole gear shift assembly is: 35022ta080lw and can be bought off of Amazon Japan (and elsewhere, Yahoo/Rakuten all the usual suspects). with global shipping I paid $78. I haven't recieved the knob yet/it takes a loooong time for Amazon JP to get dealer parts on the way. I may cancel it and get another dejapan odds and ends order goin (Japanese forwarding service, they're the most reasonably priced/fastest I've used). Now to the task at hand.. where are you located? I'd like to get the engine cover/complete. Possibly some other larger body panels... let me know a ballpark region where you're from and I'll let ya know how much I want (I quite a bit...). EDIT: I see Victoria B.C. - well... that creates mess of issues I don't think would be worth messing with. If you happen to be heading down toward the midwest/Detroit area let me know, I'll get a list together
I use Dejapan.com to do most of my parts forwarding off Yahoo Auctions... from looking at the yahoo listing you'd be looking at an additional $15-$18 in domestic shipping charges, plus $3-$5 in packing/servicing fees. Shipping that would probably cost somewhere in the $60 range for air and $25-$30 for surface (it'll take month/take forever but it saves a good chunk of money). Don't hold me too strictly to that, if you have an old one you can weigh it and use JP's postal service shipment estimator to get a better idea... I've never held one/am guessing on the weight. So all-in $32+$15+$3+$25 - I'd guess you'd be in the $75 to $100 ballpark for that landed to you if you're not in a rush. I order at least 4-5 different things that I need when I do a forwarded order. Otherwise I try to find whatever I can on Amazon JP with global shipping, state-side (G&R has it all...), or figure out something domestic that'll get the job done.
