greetings from upstate new york; new to me S83P 1992. have been working on carb and vacuum to get this thing to run right. so far replaced 25 feet of vacuum lines; rebuilt carb and it still will not either idle or goes ballistic rpm's . when i get it to idle properly then try to drive it either it will die when i stop or the rpm's go crazy. have seen all the video's on adjustment but it refuses to obey. i'm wondering if a component somewhere is bad? have sprayed starting fluid all over to find a leak with no success and have checked all connections many times. am frustrated as can be! is there someone with experience in upstate n.y. who can lend some insight and or fix? thank's in advance. have checked idle cut off solenoid and it's working as it should also checked the vacuum diaphragm for operation. am wondering what other systems could affect this. at speed it runs fine but will either race when i go to shift or stalls out at a stop. have had two mechanics look at it with no success am now trying to find one familiar with these trucks to look at it.

What did you do to rebuild the carb,? Was it dipped or ultrasonic washed? Did you blow out all the ports?

first time it was ultrasonically cleaned by a professional shop. when i just pulled the carb i just checked the float bowl and needle valve and all were cleaned as well as all orifices with carb cleaner. i'm beginning to think it's some other component that's causing the problem. am re-visiting everything but the carb tomorrow or sunday. thank's flip

Carb cleaner eats rubber is the oring on the mixture screw still good. All the linkages move easily I am assuming.

Sounds to me like a carb bowl venting problem, plugged vent or wrongly connected hoses. Not being familiar with that particular vehicle I can't offer anything more.

Is it flooding out at idle or attached of fuel?

I have piaggio porter with 1.0 carb version. It runns fine when cold but geting rich when gets hotter. What should i do?
What can i check, any slecific vaccume to look?
Is there any manual about that carb?

    Edit:
When its ideling ist fine untill i press gas pedal hard enough and rev it few times, then it just say wooo wooo and die, like it gets to much fuel.
After few cranking it stsrts again and works on idle fine but exhaust smells like fuel.
