Hello All, I am Chris, living in Michigan, U.S. What brings me here is my somewhat recent acquisition of a 1993 Daihatsu HiJet. I was in need of something to help move things around the yard, make supply runs and such, and I didn't want a big truck, so the Daihatsu is perfect. There's also a fair amount of nostalgia involved, as I first learned to drive on a HiJet when I was 13 and working at a golf course. So, with the U.S. "25 year" rule I was able to add the Daihatsu to the fleet. Here she is. I love this vehicle, it's like a cartoon on wheels. Anyhow, happy to be here, I'm sure I'll be in need of help and advice. Cheers, Chris
Thanks, yeah, the truck is in good shape. Unfortunately the clutch just took a crap on me (seems like the story of my year, this is the second car to do that), so need to figure out how to get that fixed and get her back in service. Bed rail caps were on it when I bought it. They are nice to prevent damage and bad scratching. Cheers, Chris
