I'm in search of this wheel off my carb. It's the high idle wheel and spring that I'm needing. Will consider anything I can get my hands on. Even a used carb. If anybody knows where I can acquire one please let me know. Unit will not run right without it. If there is a bypass or another option I'm all ears.
    Thanks for all your help.

    Hello, Jody
I see you have been dealing with your carb and fuel system for a bit now.
Have you ever adjusted your float level?? If so, what is the float level? I have an S80 but the float level should be the same as an S83.. Anyone????
Thanks if you can spread some knowledge..

    Hi Angusll
I have not touched the float. Didn't even think it had one. Put in an electric fuel pump and solved my problems. Just need the high idle wheel and all will be good.

    Hello, Jody.
    Alright, cool.
So, which electric fuel pump did you go with?.
It may be what I need to do also, The new(mechanical) fuel pump may not be putting out enough flow at full throttle... causing my bogging issues.
    Thanks for the reply.

    Hi Jody and Angusll,

The mechanical fuel pump on my S110P filled the crankcase with gasoline and stopped working. I'm wondering if I should replace it with an identical pump or use an electric unit. A direct replacement unit is rather expensive. What electric pump did you folks end up using? Can you please provide a thread link to any necessary modifications?

    Thanks!

    Thanks for the reply.

I bought a Chinese mechanical replacement pump through Ebay for 90 USD. Compared to the original Japanese pump, two of the four welded tubes do not point in the same direction. So, I had to replace two flexible fuel lines with longer pieces to complete the plumbing. So far, the pump is working perfectly. I will describe my work with photos in a more-appropriate thread elsewhere on this site.

Why get Chinese stuff when you can get JDM stuff at same cost.

    Thanks for the help.

For the sake of thoroughness, the fuel pump part number for my S110P is 23100-87593-000. As of this writing, the Impex price for a "Genuine Part" is JP¥10,700 (US$95.72). The estimated EMS shipping charge (using the Impex shipping calculator) is JP¥2,000 (US$17.89). Assuming the shipping calculator is accurate, the total comes to JP¥12,700 (US$113.61). I paid US$90 including shipping for a Chinese replacement. For an additional US$23.61, I would much prefer OEM.

No problem Impex is great prices great if there is non OEM options they list them too. The process to buy is a bit convoluted. You pick parts and place order. Pay for the parts. When they get them they get actually shipping cost then invoice your account for that. You have to check daily as for some reason they don't do notifications. Once the shipping is paid you should see the parts in a week or 2. Atleast that is been my experience with them. I have actually gotten some small parts in only a couple days after paying shipping and I am on the east coast of Canada.

Glad you got it worked out. I was going through a pump per year for some reason. Switched to an electric and never had another problem.
