    Great!
Can you post up the list even if you just have a grand total?

As for the Torque that I am looking for, I am going to rework the exhaust as well, with 2" and a turbo muffler?
I must admit I am used to the power of my VW TDI and I know there is No way to get that!

You might find water pumps etc for cheaper through buyee.jp
For example, for my 1995 Every, I got this kit:
    https://buyee.jp/item/yahoo/shopping/solltd_1740051812SET2-002
Which is pump, seal, tensioner, belt, and crank seals.

You'll find spare parts easily just by putting the type name(like DE51V) in search, and selecting the right categories. Or the spare part number.

I have no list, I just read yours or the OPs... I saw the exhaust recommendations. I'm a little sceptical & would LOVE to know how that goes. My experience is some smaller engines require the higher designed backpressure in the exhaust to operate correctly ?? 2" seems huge for a 660 cc ??

Hey Van: That site is all in Japanese !! LOL Did they take PayPal ?? if not how did you pay them ??

You can choose English right from the menu next to "Register".
They take paypal. They have a FAQ in English:
    https://faq.buyee.jp/pkb_Home?l=en_US

Basically, an intermediary for buying from Japanese shopping sites that you see mentioned(Yahoo Shopping, Yahoo Auction etc).

Sounds real good, I saw it was $62 bucks! How much was the shipping?
And do you have a link to the manual, or did I miss it?

Was 28 dollars for shipping(registered small package(air)), there is an estimation tool(that little calculator icon you see next to the item image). Mind you I live in Europe, so there might be differences in shipping costs.
Can't really help with links to a electrical version of the service manual. All I have is the paperback by James Danko meant for 1991 onwards models. Based on your profile picture, yours is a pre-1990 model? So be aware that kit I linked might not be compatible, you'd really want to double check the part numbers using the frame number on megazip.net (can't really recommend using this site to get the parts, they overprice...severely, just check amayama.com with the part numbers).

    Mine is a 91 DB51t
How do I find the parts numbers?

Just use the frame number(the one you see right below the drivers seat, or the blue manufacturer's plate) of your vehicle on the search on megazip.net

Be careful increasing the size of the exhaust system. On a normally aspirated engine, a large exhaust system is used at higher rpm, to develop horse power. A smaller exhaust is used at lower rpm, to develop torque. And, remember: It is part of a balanced system, of intake manifold, valve train, and exhaust. If you just start futzing with one part of it you can muck it up, and actually cause severe loss of both torque and horsepower.

Yep, you can actually lose torque going to a large exhaust. My Harley fell flat on its face when I opened the exhaust up too much. That's why Harley guys that like straight pipes AND power install torque tubes in the exhaust.

I just ordered my timing belt stuff recently, tracking number says it'll be here on Friday. I ordered from grparts.net. Prices were:

    $50 for timing belt
    $20 for tensioner
$120 for water pump ($30 core charge, so $90 really)
$80 for tune up kit that includes cap, rotor, plug wires, and plugs

There's a list in this forum for parts numbers on stuff you can get locally, and the seals and t-stat are apparently one of them, so I'm just going to get them from a parts store here. Supposed to be cheap. Don't know how much they'd normally charge for shipping, I bought 4 tires at the same time so it was more.

That was my experience with my Norton 20 Y/ago. Cut up the stock exhaust got nothing but a ticket magnet that would not get out of it's own way. Never could get it back to right so it was off to long beach for a $400 set of headers :)

KC: Here is the Manual page : http://www.grparts.net/category-s/394.htm

PASTA: Please let me know how the local sourcing goes ....Thanks Harley

With exhaust it's even more complicated than just having backpressure. Backpressure isn't the issue, it's exhaust velocity and exhaust scavenging. Narrow exhaust pipes force the exhaust gas to move at a higher speed, so when the exhaust valve opens it basically vacuums out the cylinder. Wide open exhaust doesn't get that vacuum effect and some spent exhaust gas lingers in the cylinder, causing less power.

That's also why having a crossover pipe in connecting the pipes in a V-twin makes a lot more power than true duals. One cylinder vacuums out the other's exhaust.

Hey Pasta : Were you able to cross any parts for your truck ??? Thanks Harley

I haven't received it yet (should have boarded the boat in Japan this week) so I haven't put too much effort into it yet. I know a lot of parts can be found in a local store but I have to find the thread on here.

Thanks for getting back. I have not found that thread & I've looked at almost the entire history BUT I'm sure I just missed it. When & if you find any crossover parts PLEASE post them up here :) Thanks Harley The only one I have is a modified cone air filter... Makes the truck louder but easy to replace..

Did you relocate your air filter or just stick a cone filter on it under the bed? The stock location sucks a lot of dust in if you use it offroad on dusty roads a lot.

Have you checked with grparts.net yet? That's where I got mine but it was for a DD51T, not sure if they're any different.

Yeah I did thought it was a bit expensive!

I think mine was $50 for the belt and $20 for the tensioner. Is that expensive? I've n had to do a timing belt, I thought it wasn't bad.

Not that's not bad what about the water pump and the seals?

New water pump for my DD51T is $90 plus a $30 core charge, not sure if yours is the same and it isn't listed. I've heard that they have a lot of parts in stock that aren't listed on the site so you should call them. I didn't get the seals since they should be available locally.

Just fitted the carb with a bushing & clamped it on. Mine is strictly off road & never comes out of 4/Lo. All gravel or rocky soil (LMAO). No issues with dust so to speak.

What do you think the cost of losing the belt is going to be ???

    The entire Head!

    I did my Exhaust!
I did NOT have a Cat.
I have 3 Long tubes as a exhaust manifold and made a collector for them.
I have a Full 2" complete Exh with a welded allum turbo muffler.
    My Power Problem is GONE!
I haven't wound it out yet (Doing Timing belt today) but my GPS (my speedo) say 73.4mph!
    I am really loving it!

The dropbox link posted previously, so you can see the photos from this thread still works but the Chrome Extension mentioned earlier in this thread as a fix to see the photobucket pics no longer works (at least for me). I went to the dropbox link and converted that file to a pdf (just in case that dropbox link ever disappears), which I hoped to attach here, however the file is too big so I attached it to the files section of the mini truck facebook page, you can download it from there:
