Ok, to the clutch. I have noticed since I took the van on the Tail of the Dragon in Oct of 2025 that the clutch was slipping a bit. When I was in 3rd or 4th gear and lugging it, I could feel the slip and hear it as the rpms would go up...

Are there supposed to be rear speakers? I couldn't find any -- and the wiring diagram doesn't show any. I cut up an old license plate to make brackets. Points a little high and out but they aren’t loose and I can see the road.

Note the only bracket points are on the top outside corner and bottom inside corner.

I recently imported a 2000 Every Joypop Turbo (DA52W). I've done a few things already, which went smoothly (more or less). I'm trying to do the timing belt, tensioner, and water pump replacement, but am finding this set up quite a bit more difficult/different than what I'm seeing for other models.

See my signature for details but I am wondering if anyone knows how to tell if the front awd coupler that bolts to the front diff is bad.

I believe it’s called the hydraulic coupling unit (hcu), but searches don’t seem to recognize it.

Here’s my reason for asking. My van is on tracks, so obviously there is more of a load than tires.

However I have a suspicion that the coupler is slipping (possibly) and not putting power to the front tracks. Therefore really increasing the engine...

I was thinking about trying this out if the next visit to the mechanic doesn't work, but i don't know if this "trick" only applies to Turbos and i want to get a replacement for the PCV tube/hose bit before i go hacking notched into it.

Anyone tried this? My (non-turbo) '96 Every keeps leaking oil at every startup and while running. It still runs great but the oil drip's coming out around the bottom of the timing belt cover, so.... a little worrying.]]> 3
