Quits when hot

I have a 1991 Honda Acty that quits momentarily when it is hot. It starts fine and idles good, but when it is warmed up and you are going down the road it dies for 3 -4 seconds then starts back up and repeats this more frequently as it gets hotter. When it starts back up it doesn't backfire. Could it be something in the coil/distributer that is getting hot and failing. Any advice would be appreciated.

I once had a coil fail in somewhat that manner.

Any feedback, what caused the problem and how it was solved?

Dirt in the tank, that blocked off the small opening in the fuel line
