I have a 1993 HA4 truck with manual transmission. Truck died while idling, pulled plug and found no fire. I checked for power into the coil, found 12 volts on the large plug but nothing on the smaller plug. Can't find the ignition control that is shown on truck parts website (not sure if this applies to my model truck). I'm not sure how to tackle this project. Can anyone give me a series of checks to locate the source of this problem? How do you check the coil, where is the ICM located, etc.

Have you checked the distributor and distributor cap? http://jp-carparts.com/honda/partlist.php?maker=honda&type=ACTY TRUCK&cartype=30929&fig=E&fig1=501
You can find all the parts with part numbers and explosion view drawings here, bookmark that site http://jp-carparts.com/honda/cartypelist.php?maker=honda&type=ACTY TRUCK

Thanks for the info Shogun. I have that manual but it isn't specific where I should see voltage if everything is working properly. I have all the parts ordered so I'm guessing I'll find the problem but changing parts at random seems a very inefficient way to repair a vehicle. Again thanks for the reply to this post

    Cheers

listen dude is this vehicle points or inductive pickup in the distributor....lets start there, I set all points at 18 thousandth of an inch and most likely these trucks are not dwell specific..but if it is points reset and clean with sand paper and if they are wore out replace and it should have a condenser but I could be wrong and then put a timing light on number 1 and turn over and look for a flash,,,,need more info
