After months of dragging my feet, I finally got around to replacing the timing belt, water pump, and crank/cam shaft seals. It took me about 6 hours going slow and steady with no major hurdles (not having an impact wrench would have really brought things to a halt). Attached is my procedure I wrote detailing the process.
new to forum. have 1996 subaru sambar. 135K kilometers. getting ready to replace timing belt. looking for helps. found some how to's on this site. some seem quite well done. also looking to replace shocks and struts although i cant say they are in need. i have one strut looking to buy the other side. as for shocks i'm wondering how to find aftermarket replacement. auto stores and dealers actually have no way to find the subaru sambar in their computer systems. anyone know how to go about buying aftermarket shocks. gerald reply to gmillioni@yahoo.com or call 901 412 9618
