ECVT Should I Bother?

Hello, I have a 1994 Subaru Sambar with an ECVT that will not drive in any gear. I have tried the troubleshooting procedures from Dustys Justys , and spent hours reading over the justy forums.
My van has a brand new powder clutch, and brushes installed.

How is the the reliability of the ECVT... The general impression I have gotten so far is that the ECVT is crummy. I am used to driving a CVT as my daily driver (2014 Mitsubishi Mirage) and I love it.

should I attempt to rebuild or diagnose it further or source parts for a tranny swap?

I have a separate complete ECVT sambar for parts (with a worn clutch I think), as well as a 5 speed one. and a spare 5 speed tranny. 3 sambars in total :p

I have driven the 5 speed upto 120 KM/hr...(New higher speed limit in B.C.) but I felt like I was going to die... I have read the CVT can go 140... Is this really true?

are there any owners of ECVTs out there if so are they worth the effort?

I think poor Genevieve has the same problem with her e-cvt, although she's a Domingo (1200cc), not a Sambar (650cc).
I'm in the UK and have a specialist looking at her. He's going to rebuild the powder clutch, which I gather is fairly straightforward.
BUT he reckons I may need new selector forks too (whatever they are), and we're struggling to find them. Any idea where we might be able to source these?
I've converted Genevieve into a proper campervan with bed, hob, sink etc (see album in my profile for pics) so scrapping her is not an option.
If I can't sort out the ecvt, I shall either do a complete engine/gearbox change with something very generic and easy to maintain (in the UK) or else I shall convert her into a caravan! But as she's my only vehicle, I'd really like to get her back on the road.
    HELP!

I love the Domingos! sounds like you have a nice one. Over here there is basically no support for the ECVT. My feeling is the best way to source parts is to find a donor. Maybe if you can track down the part number you can have the part you need exported...

    Have you tried this.
Subaru "PARTS MANUAL" by Model "FREE" from Megazip. ENJOY!

this has helped me track down some part numbers for research.

Also I have been reading into a manual tranny swap, and it seems like a heck of a lot of work.... basically you need a complete manual van to steal parts from.
