Found a couple of threads on front brake pads. Since I'm way down in South Tx. I'm not finding parts for my '91 ACTY. So I took blakkmoon's advice and ordered a set of '84 Honda Civic front pads. $16.45 at O'riley's. Put them in a vise and trimed them down with my 4" Makita grinder with a cut off wheel. Put them on today and they seem to work O.K. Now can someone direct me to some cheap rear brake shoes for this '91??? Thanks, Joe.
Did you try the pads from a 92-95 Honda Civic? Mine were an exact match for my 92 Honda HA4. No grinding or trimming needed at all.
O'riely's showed some pads for a '92-5 Honda Civic but they weren't the same. The ones they showed me were much larger. This is why I went with the '84 Civic ones. Do you know where I can get a good price on the rear shoes? Thanks, Joe.
I found a search engine for brake parts http://www.jnbk-brakes.com/catalogue/cars#32/710/HONDA/Acty/0/1998/660 example HONDA » Acty 02.90~07.99 660cc Engine E07, HA3 Front: NiBK » BRAKE PADS » PN8336 Rear: NiBK » BRAKE SHOE » FN5520 and the good thing is, they show the exact dimensions and also the part numbers of other makers like Akebono, Ate, Bendix, Delphi, Bosch etc
