    Hello, everybody! My name is Adrian and I'm the proud owner of a 1992 Subaru Libero(E12). I bought it from a guy who didn't use it for a few years, but the van is a runner(sort of). It has the 1.2 liter engine EF12 engine(N/A, carburetor) and the manual 5 speed transmission.

    Van Plus/Minus:
    + White, w/ the awesome 1980s style Subaru 4WD decals and grey polycarbonate trim;
    + Body nice and straight(99%);
    + Little rust(surface only, has been treated in various places with special compound by former owner);
    + Looks complete, very few mods;
    + Lots of stuff changed(according to owner): piston rings, clutch, brake cylinder, rear springs and shocks, etc;
    + 106k km on the clock, around 6k since alleged piston ring change;
    + Engine fired up, ran well for a min or two until it died. With jump start, the engine started off well, sounded good, no excessive amounts of smoke coming out of it.
    + Registered, paperwork ok, all taxes up to date;
    + Owner is a really nice fellow, 4WD enthusiast, definitely looks like the type who cares about his car(owns several cars). He showed me pretty much every trick on the van;

    - Been sitting for a long long time(around 5 years);
    - Corroded contacts all over the place. This is the reason why it barely started, it didn't get enough juice from the battery/stuck starter motor. Jump started it from the owner's SUV, ran well, died as soon as the power cable from the SUV was removed. Alternator might be faulty as well.
    - Broken left side rear window(by vandals). Hole covered and weatherproofed, but it needs a replacement window.
    - Missing battery(stolen by said vandals).
    - Trouble with carburetor. Owner mentioned it, I saw it happen. Thing is messed up, it won't idle. Something to do with the vacuum lines(saw 2 of them loose at one end). Must mention that I'm an EFI kind of guy, I never did liked carburetors.
    - Broken handbrake cable. Want to ask if it fits later models in case I find one.
    - Kinda' rare little things, finding parts is not easy/cheap.
    - Dirty and with stuff jammed together, will take me a while to grease up everything. Engine bay full of dust and spider webs, but (pretty much)everything looks in place.
    - Few tears and holes in upholstery, no matter, they can be repaired/changed.
    - Didn't get to drive it(or move it really). Owner said that everything works(4WD, electrics and such), but the clutch might be stuck. I have to take his word for it. Also, a little prayer can't hurt.

    Slept in it last night(just figured out how to fold the bed flat so I thought I'd give it a try). It was awesome, I slept like a baby.
    I really love this van. It's so cool and neat and it's exactly what I want: a cool, unique, practical little van that would get me cross country/Europe in great fun and that could help me carry stuff(family, friends, bags) around efficiently.
    I would really appreciate it if you could help me with some pics/advices on the engine compartment, carb, repair manual prints, some vacuum diagrams or basically anything that would help me get the engine running(and yes, I've read the Subaru Domingo Tips thread). Also some fitting ideas for that handbrake cable or parts links for Central Europe(I'm from Bucharest, Romania btw) will be appreciated.
    I have to mention the fact that I'm totally into Jap cars and Asian stuff(Japan in particular). From their culture, way of life, to cars, music, anime and stuff like that. Oh yeah, and noodle soup.
    Pics of my van(which I named Gojira):

    Cheers!

    Thanks for the welcome, guys! I'm glad to be here and surely glad to own the van.

    I'm moving the discussion on the Micro-van section. I really need info, I want to get this van up and running ASAP.
