Local 2004 Suzuki Carry For Sale. Went to look at it and discovered it stuck in 4WD. Owner states he hasn't tried to figure it out because he doesn't want to damage anything. I tried, putting it in neutral while slowly moving but the 4wd lever would not budge. Any ideas or should I stay clear. Otherwise appears to be in good shape with 5656 km. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks in advance.
You may need a company for this or try it by yourself. Try putting your hands on the actuators while switching the 4WD lever back and forth. You should be able to feel twitching movement and subtle clicks in either or all of them. If not, check wiring and vacuum connections. Or maybe the 4WD controller is busted.
