Just thought I'd share my truck with like minded individuals. This is a 1967 Cony 360 AF7 "Light Truck" or Pick-Up Truck". Cony made a few other models in the 60's but this is the only version that resembles a truck as opposed to the more common cab-over design. It's got a 360cc air cooled 4 stroke horizontally opposed 2 cylinder motor, that fits under the seat. I just put new tires on it, trying to get the foot brakes working, hand/parking brake works. It's a three speed, column shift (3 on the tree is the cool way to say it). Its mostly complete and awesome to drive. I have it titled, licensed, and registered (which isn't possible now, but apparently was in 1967), and driving on the road. Paul at littlecartrader.com tells me that these are pretty rare (like this is the only the third one he's ever heard of). I'm sure somebody somewhere has one of these lying around in a barn somewhere but if they do they're not telling anyone about it. Just thought I'd share. Enjoy!
That's pretty cool looking. Even though it's rare, the minitrucker in me wants to chop it up and see it air bagged and body dropped!
I know what you're saying, half the time I want to restore it, the other half I want to hotrod it. It's almost rare enough that it's impossible to restore so I might as well rod it.
On another note, I would do my best to fabricate it back to original. Perhaps fabricating a grill from other cars etc. I kinda wish that rig was in my garage Tony
There's days I wouldn't sell it, and then there's days I'm just afraid I'm going to wreck something that's irreplaceable and would sell it to the first person that walked up.
I definitely don't have the budget for a complete restoration as there are too many parts that don't exist anymore but I hope to get it back to complete working order.
