So I am a victim of this 3+1 carb replacement, but I believe that this carb has been engineered to work on the F6A engine. Engineers don't change things for no reason. What we need to find is the vacuum curves and conversion charts for this design. I has to be out there somewhere. Anyone know who engineered this new carb. Has anyone contacted them for the specs? As for the extra T fitting. I has to be there for a reason. We just have not figured it out yet. Spaner, I think your close, but those specs would get us that last step to a perfect carb replacement.

Greg, what you have is a Chinese knock off, that right there explains your problem. If you would like to send me you Chasis/Vin # I can locate the proper Mikuni carb for you here in Japan. If you look at the the carb you currently have it should say Mikuni on the top by the throat. Let me know what you find.

    Regards,

Yeap Chinese knockoff are usually copies of existing OEM. The Chinese got some engineering from someone to produce this thing. I wonder who that was...

Went through this a few years ago with Chinese Knockoffs of Solex carbs for VW"s. Very nice looking copies of the genuine article but could not get them to function properly. Double-check for "Country of Origin" to ensure you don't have a Made in China item.

A vendor name would be nice, keep from anybody else from going down the same road.
Yokohama Motors has been good for me so far. Little slow to respond to emails but they are the best OEM part suppliers.

I have not used Yokohama Motors yet. I also have Amayama.com listed in my favorites, but have not used them. I have used jp-carparts.com and have been very well satisfied with their service. OEM parts usually arrive about 3 days after they receive the payment, which I send by Western Union. It helps to be right next-door as far as country's are concerned. I use suzuki.epcdata.ru/carry/ to find part numbers to order. It is a Russian language site, but easy to navigate around in. I live in the Philippines and good parts are not easy to come by as the local so-called "parts suppliers" won't even order things. They only want to sell what they feel they want to stock. Makes for some interesting "make do's" here in this Country to keep the vehicles going down the road.

So I have accepted the loss for buying this non-OEM carb. I sent my oem carb to G&R and they overhauled it. They run each overhauled carb on an actual motor and make all the adjustments before sending it back. Got mine back after only a week
