Howdy Folks, '87 Hijet with 44,000kms. Looking to sell it as there is too much to do to it now. Water pump area does not hold coolant. Just pours out. Replaced WP two years ago. Hopefully not head gasket, but I'm not sure. Front wheel bearings needs replacing. Tie rods aren't tight either. Pretty sure the spline on the front wheels is toast (or is it the CV) because it no longer does inclines in 4x4, but rather just spins. I noticed wear when I was "repacking" the wheel bearings...exercise in futility, I know. Anyways, the truck still starts right up and runs down the road. Don't want to drive it for more than a few minutes so it doesn't warm up. Has a new 2" lift with struts and coils. Have a couple geo metro tie rods...haven't yet checked to see if they would actually work or not. Have a BNIB CV outter. She's a 4spd, 550cc, carbed and points system. What do you think it's still worth?
maybe a $1000 to the right guy. but you would really need to find a person who is proficient with these trucks. Really it depends on how long you have run it. depending on the initial cost. could be it's only worth the tires it sits on. motor is always worth $500. just my opinion Cheers
